Unhappy Princess

A couple of months ago I purchased a "Cinderella" dress for our daughter. Apparently she did NOT like the idea and was more than happy to let me know (she's two). I HAD to grab the camera because I knew I never wanted to forget this moment. ;)   Sure enough - as soon as she was distracted with a toy, she couldn't have cared less about the dress.

I laugh every.single.time I see these pictures. (Does that make me a bad mom?)

Below is a single digital scrapbook page I put together this afternoon in My Digital Studio. I hope you'll get a good laugh!  (Click the pic for a closer peek)

I used one of our newer digital downloads - our Melon Mambo Pom Pom trim.  I love the look of this download!  If digital crafting isn't for you, we sell it for all "hands on" crafting as well!!! This adorable trim (available in Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango, and Daffodil Delight) is in our current Occasions Mini Catalogue and will only be available until the end of this month!!!  You don't want to miss out on this!  Give me a call to place your order or order online anytime and have it delivered to your door!

Spring is Blossoming...but only for a little longer!!!

I can hardly believe we're already more than half way through April! I admit I'm looking forward to seeing the sun more and the warmer weather that comes with that!

When Stampin' Up! announced the "Spring is Blossoming" Promotion for April, I was thrilled with the sneak peek stamp set and gorgeous designer series paper being offered. Of course, with the end of April creeping up on us, so is the end of this promotion! There's still time to order your own stamp set (which coordinates perfectly with our Decorative Label Punch) and designer paper when you place a $25 order!

Maybe you're looking for a little inspiration using these products!   Aren't these beautiful!!!

Gorgeous!  I would love to say I stamped them, but I didn't...they're samples I pulled off the Stampin' Up! demonstrator website I have access too.  If you have any questions regarding this promotion or would like to place an order, give me a call or send me a quick email!  Only a few days left!!!!

Birthday Beauty

Last night I spent a few hours in my craft room doing some general organizing and cleaning up. With my tables and counters finally cleared off, I was inspired to stamp! Imagine that!  ;)

I copied the general card layout I'd seen from another demonstrator with a few minor changes. Again I used my new Four Frames stamp set and Paisley Petals Designer Series paper. I am in LOVE with this paper! The colors are just so rich and gorgeous!

The card is 5 x 5. I don't make this size very often and I'm not sure why because I love square cards.

I started with an Early Espresso card base and matted my designer paper with Pacific Point cardstock.  I allowed the beautiful paper to be the main focus for this card.

I used some of my Always Artichoke seam binding ribbon, tied a bow and adhered it to one of our Pear Pizzazz Springtime Vintage buttons with a glue dot.  These gorgeous buttons are in our Occasions Mini catalogue and contain a total of 48 buttons - 4 each in three different colors, but are only available until the end of April!

The rose frame is one of the stamps in our Four Frames set and the "mother" stamp is from a retired set that we no longer carry but I've still got in my stash.  (If you're into digital paper crafting, it is still available as a digital download)  It's been punched out using our Decorative Label Punch and popped up with our Stampin' Dimenstionals.

Of course, I can't get enough of our beautiful pearls, so I added two large ones at the top, a row of the smallest size along my scallop border and three of the medium size on the inside of my card.  Anytime I use a dark colored card base, I always try to dress up the inside a little.

I had a lot of fun with this card!  It's my moms birthday this week, so this particular card was created with her in mind.  She and I have very similar taste, so I'm sure she'll love it as much as I do.

If you have any questions regarding this project, definitely let me know!

Springtime Smiles

Well, last night's crafting session wasn't quite as successful as I'd hoped. I thought I'd stamp up a storm and have a ton of new samples to show you! *ha ha ha*

Unfortunately, it didn't quite happen that way. First of all, I made the mistake of turning on the TV and got caught up in a decorating show (oh how I love HGTV). Then, when I finally did wander into my craft room, I just couldn't get going! SO weird.

I am happy to report I did finish ONE card though. I used both my new Four Frames stamp set and some of our gorgeous Paisley Petals designer series paper.

My card is a simple one.

I started by embossing my Crumb Cake cardstock in my Big Shot with our Elegant Lines embossing folder and added some faux white stitching to the bottom left corner.  I added a piece of Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon and adhered it to my Early Espresso card base.

The Paisley Petals designers series paper is layered on a piece of Marina Mist cardstock that I punched with my Scallop Trim Border punch.  (TIP:  With this particular punch, cut your cardstock 1/2" larger than your piece of designer paper, punch along the edges and you'll have a perfect size mat!).  A little trick for getting a perfect cut triangle cutout on the bottom of my banner is to use one of our square punches!  I lined up the two edges of my designer paper in one corner of my punch and it punched out a perfect triangle!  I then layered this on my card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped my frame in Early Espresso classic ink and added the Springtime Smiles greeting from our Easter Blossoms stamp set (from our Occasions Mini Catalogue) stamped in Marina Mist classic ink.  I punched it out using our coordinating Decorative Label Punch!

For the finishing touch, I punched out two large flowers using my Boho Blossom punch, layered them and added one of the smallest green Circle Ice rhinestone brads.  I adhered these to my card front also using Stampin Dimentionals.  DONE!

Hope you enjoyed this card.  My mom's birthday is next week, so I think I'll make another one with a birthday greeting on the front.

Happy Stamping!

Nothing new....yet....

Has it really been a week since I last posted?

Where is the time going! I guess life has been busy because I don't have a single new stamped item to show you.

I DID receive my Four Frames Stamp Set and another package of Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper yesterday! Have you taken a peek at these sneak peek items yet? Gorgeous!!!!  Our "Spring is Blossoming" promotion is in full swing, but only until the end of April! I'm hoping to tuck myself away in my craft room this evening once the kids are in bed, so check back tomorrow and hopefully I'll have a few new creations to show you!!!

Mojo Monday 177 (and Color Combo)

As mentioned in Tuesday’s post, a number of my downline and I participated in a card swap. This one was a little more challenging than usual because we decided to use a specific card sketch and color combo. And not just ANY color combo, but one I don’t think any of us would normally have attempted on our own. The color selection was chosen from our Color Coach and the colors were:

More Mustard is NOT a color I seem to use....ever...so when I saw this combo selection, I knew it would be a challenge.  But that's the point - to push yourself just a little bit more!

On top of that, we also decided to use the Mojo Monday 177 layout.

When we got together on Monday, I was once again amazed at how different each card was – each has its own gorgeous and unique style. I LOVE IT!!! What to see what we came up with? Of course you do. ;)

Petal Cone Fun with my Downline

Yesterday evening I had the privilege of hosting another downline stamp and chat night. I invited my downline (team members) over for a relaxed evening of chit chat and stamping! I adore these women and we always have a blast when we get together.

The point of these evenings is to discuss business ideas and to be inspired by everyones creativity. We also decided to have a card swap which I just love because I am continually amazed with the works of art everyone comes up with!

My upline used to offer downline stamp nights and I just loved attending them (I still do!) - it is so nice to be able to go, relax and stamp a project...one I didn't have to prep!.  Yes, I love my job as a demonstrator, but sometimes it's nice to be able to just sit down and stamp a project that has already been figured out and precut for me! ;) SO, of course I knew I wanted to offer my own downline the same opportunity.

What to be inspired too? I thought I'd share with you the projects we stamped and the card swaps I received!!!

Both projects I offered use our new Petal Cone Bigz L Die for the Big Shot. The first is a cute little carrot pocket card - perfect for a small little Easter message or treat to be tucked inside.

The adorable bunny is punched out using a variety of our great punches! Isn't he just the cutest little thing????  (Just ignore the crooked whiskers and glue smudge!) ;)

The second project we stamped is this great little "take-out" style box. Yup, it's still made with the Petal Cone die, but with a few extra cuts and score lines (SO super quick and simple!) it changes the shape into a great little treat box!

We decorated it with some of our new Sneak Peek Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper.

This paper will be in our upcoming Idea Book & Catalogue in July, but during our April Spring is Blossoming Promotion, with every $25 order, you're eligible to purchase this sneak peek product!!! (Or Host a $460* workshop and get the Four Frames Set and Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper for FREE). Check out additional details here!

Of course the box wouldn't have been complete without a coordinating tag!  The tag uses a variety of punches including the new (and ADORABLE!) Extra-Large Build a Cupcake Punch.  Love it!

I'm still taking pictures of the swap cards I received, so check back tomorrow to see what everyone came up with...GORGEOUS!!!!

If you're interested in joining us at these stamp nights (and many of the other demonstrator stamping events we attend) definitely let me know.  I would love to share the Stampin' Up! business opportunity with you and have you on our team!

Happy Stamping!
