You KNOW I had to try it....

While cleaning up the packaging from my son's birthday gifts a couple weeks ago, one of the pieces heading to the recycle bin was a thick plastic sheet (think transparency sheet on steroids!) that I knew I just HAD to try cutting with my Big Shot.

I popped it in my craft room and unfortunately, there it sat until last night. I'm lovin' my new Candy Wrapper Die and wondered if it would work. Would the plastic hold its shape after being cut & assembled? No harm in trying - if it didn't work, it would go into the recycle bin where it was originally headed.

I cut a piece large enough to fit my die and ran it though.  It worked!!! The die cut and scored it perfectly.  Click any of the pics for a closer view.

I added a strip of sticky strip to the narrow tab edge and folded it up.  I was wondering if the plastic sheet would crack along the scorelines when folded, but it was fine.

I filled this one with Hershey Kisses (it fit 8!) and after a little bending and folding, it closed up perfectly!

I was so excited that I immediately wanted to try another one. ;)  With our White Stazon, I stamped the cut sheet with a few snowflakes and folded it up. I LOVE our Stazon for stamping on plastic sheets or cello bags - it dries almost instantly and is permanent on non porous surfaces.

I had some of our gorgeous new 1/8" Taffeta ribbon in a jar, so I stuffed a few pieces of that in.

Who says these boxes are only good for candy!  Of course, I'd still take chocolate any day. ;)

So, there you go!  Perfect little gift toppers or stocking stuffers that only took a few minutes to make!!!

Happy Stamping!
