WHY did I wait so long???
With the Color Renovation last year, one of the first things I noticed in the new Stampin' Up! catalogue was the new Color Coach. I had their original version and while I used it occasionally, when it retired, I wasn't sure if I really needed to buy the new one.
I talked to a couple friends/fellow demonstrators who had purchased the new one and they RAVED about how amazing it was. I finally decided to order it...and oh.my.gosh...WHY did I wait so long??? It is the best color tool E.V.E.R.! Unlike the older version, this one has a large "color chip" (2-3/4" x 4-1/2")for every single color that Stampin' Up! offers on a removable metal post fastener. On the color cards, one side shows the color (along with name and color family). Click the pics for a closer peek. :)
The other side lists coordinating colors and great color combinations that work well with that individual color.
This makes it SOOO easy to put a project together knowing the colors will all go well together!
For the following card, I just flipped through and choose four colors I liked and felt worked well together. It was SO easy to mix and match with my color coach instead of digging out stacks of cardstock! The colors I chose were Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Tempting Turquoise & Regal Rose.
There are even a few blank cards at the back so you can record your own favorite color combinations!

Each guest will receive the Nature Walk stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalogue to take home. We will use the set to create 4 cards during the class.

New My Digital Studio Catalogue!
Stampin' Up! is excited to announce an exceptional new resource for you—a My Digital Studio Catalogue PDF. It includes all of the MDS software artwork (contained in the boxed-version) and downloads from the October 2009 launch through January 2011!
The catalogue gives a snapshot of the entire product line with artwork thumbnails followed by product details. Because MDS is regularly coming out with new artwork, the catalogue will be updated every month and available to you on MyDigitalStudio.net in the just-added Resources section. Take a peek here

Ready for Spring
Can you believe the crazy weather right now? Less than a week ago we had a foot of snow, and then before I know it, the snow is gone, it's clear, sunny and actually kinda warm outside! SO strange!!!
This type of sunny weather reminds me that Spring IS on its way (or maybe that's just a lot of wishful thinking on my part). With the recent arrival of my small Occasions Mini order, I was ready to "think Spring" with my stamping. SO, I stamped the following cards with my Stampers 6 Club last night!
The first card uses our new Botanical Gazette designer paper. We adhered it to the card front and then embossed the frame using our new Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. We "antiqued" the card a little by distressing the designer paper a little with one of our sanding blocks.
The focal image (from our new Nature Walk stamp set) was inked up using our Stampin' Write markers. We even added a little shine to the bees wings using our Moonlight Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink. LOVE that stuff! We finished it off with a little crochet trim and a punched tab. So pretty!
The second card is a very simple design. I wanted to show the girls our new Letterpress plates and glimmer paper. You can't really tell in the picture, but after inking the letterpress plate with our White Craft ink, we ran it through the Big Shot with some Crumb Cake cardstock and the image is then debossed into the paper. This particular technique works best with craft ink on our water color paper.
The hearts were punched from our Red Glimmer Paper. The pictures just don't do it justice. It's SO pretty and glittery in real life!
