Maybe it’s the sunny weather, the kids out of school, or summer holiday plans, but my calendar is EMPTY!!! Can you help me fill it up?

There are a couple of options to choose from.

1) Host an In-home workshop/party! This is a no-charge workshop/party that is usually hosted in your home. (If you don’t have the space, I would happily open my home). All you need to do is invite a couple family members or friends! You’ll receive your own hostess package that includes party invitations, guest list tracker, your very own copy of our current Idea Book & Catalogue filled with stamping inspiration and more! The question I’m asked most often is “how many guests do I have to invite?” That’s up to you! I’ve had parties as small as 4 people all the way up to 15! Each guest will have the opportunity to stamp 2 projects each that they will take home with them. As the hostess, you have the opportunity to earn FREE stamps and other product based on your total net workshop orders.

2) Stamp Camps: Stamp Camps are a great way to introduce people to stamping who may be unsure if they’re interested in this amazing hobby (I KNOW, it’s so hard to imagine!). For only $10/person, I will provide the supplies and instruction for each guest to create 3 beautiful hand made projects. There is no obligation for your guests to place any catalogue orders, but hostess benefits will apply if orders total $200+

3) Private Classes: If you’re interested in any particular class I’m offering but the dates or times just don’t work, I would be happy to schedule a private class for you and a group of friends. Depending on the class, there is a 4 – 6 person minimum.

A few common concerns I hear:

I don’t know enough people: You’d be surprised at how many people you DO know! I’ve got a quick and simple way to write up a quick list of guests – in less than 5 minutes! You’ll be surprised at how many names you’ll come up with!

I don’t have the space: I’ve heard a few people express concern that maybe they don’t have enough room to host a party. No worries! No one will notice if they’re bumping elbows with the guest beside them – they’ll be having too much fun! If you still feel your home just isn’t set up for a group, my home is available and I would be happy to open it for your party.

I’m not a cook: Please don’t feel you need to provide an elaborate spread of food! It will almost always end up untouched! Food isn’t necessary, but if you feel you must provide your guests with something to nibble, a plate of cookies, cut up veggies or even a bowl of candy on the table is fine!

If you’ve ever thought of or would like to book a party, stamp camp or other type of event, please let me know. I try to keep my parties and events fairly relaxed and casual! No need to dress up for this girl!!! ;) Give me a call and together we'll plan a fun evening with the girls!

Stampin' Up! Dormant List

A few of you have asked me about the dormant list. This is the list of stamps and wheels that have not yet retired but are not currently listed in our main catalogue. I have created the list with individual links to each set so you can see images rather than just the names of the sets. The links will bring you to the general Stampin' Up! online store. If you would like to purchase any of the sets, just be sure to long onto my personal Stampin' Up! website at http://www.cfindlay.stampinup.net/ to receive the preferred customer pricing or just give me a call.

Click on the following to view the list. http://www.dunfermline.ca/stamping/dormant.htm I will also keep a link posted on the right so you can easily access the list at any time.

Please let me know if any of the links are not working.

Happy Stamping!

Lovely Little Ladybug

This is the card I made for my sister for her birthday earlier this month. I had an idea in mind when I started, but I just kept adding to the card and it turned out completely different than what I had originally planned.

The circles (other than the ladybug) were all cut using my new Circle Scissors Plus tool. It cuts circles and rings to whatever size you'd like starting at 2" and sizes up in 1/8" increments to 6". For the ladybug, I just used my circle punches.

The flowers are from my Stampin' Up! pretties kit. I colored them with my Stampin' write markers and then soaked them with my aquapainter. The water from the aquapainter softened and blended the colors. In the center of the flower is one of our Circle Ice Rhinestone Brads.

To add the finishing touch, I used my Basic Black Stampin' Write marker and white gel pen to add the faux stitching.

Enjoy!

All products are Stampin' Up! unless listed otherwise.

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock: Basic Black, Real Red, Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Summer Picnic DSP
Ink: Basic Black, Real Red, Summer Sun; Stampin' Write Markers: Basic Black, Real Red, Summer Sun, So Saffron, White gel pen
Accessories: Pretties flowers, Circle Ice Rhinestone Brad, Black 1/4" grosgrain ribbon
Tools: Circle Scissors Plus, Glass Mat, 1 3/8", 1 1/4" & 3/4" circle punches, scallop edge and eyelet border punches, sponge

Is there a Doctor in the House?

It's arrived! When Stampin' Up! offered a special on the Dr bag last week, I couldn't pass it up and had to order one. With the black & white plaid and pink pinstrip and adorable pink polka dot lining, I couldn't wait for it to be delivered. I was so excited when my UPS delivery guy dropped the boxes on my door step this morning, I had to grab my camera!

Isn't this lining just too cute!!!

Here it is packed up! Following the suggestion of other demonstrators, I've put my Big Shot in the bag width wise rather than length wise. This leaves plenty of room for dies and other supplies. I've also put my cutting plates and multipurpose platform on top of my Big Shot platform to keep it out of the way.

And here it is all zipped up and ready to go!
